Why am I here?

So, why did I decide I needed my own little corner on the web?

I have enjoyed a 50-year career in foodservice. The majority of that was spent on the street working with independent restauranteurs. I can't remember how, but I was convinced to move into management so I could work more hours making less money. VP of Sales was always my dream job and I got there! While I enjoyed my time in that seat, I was never satisfied. Something was missing.

You know those personality profiles that companies use to find what role you are best suited for? Every time I took one, it said that while I could lead people, I would find fulfillment in teaching and training. I stepped away from my management position and became a training manager. I have been blessed to finish my career doing something I love. I can honestly say, I haven't really worked a day in the past fifteen years. I will retire from foodservice on June 27,2026.

That brings us to the reason for building this website. The business world has been good to me. I have never been unemployed in that 50-year span. I've worked at all levels and that gives me a unique perspective. It's time for me to give back.

Creativity is my hobby. I love to write, research, and experiment with new advancements in technology. When I began my journey, laptops didn't exist. Now we are just beginning to enjoy the excitement of artificial intelligence. Tasks that were out of reach, are now at our fingertips. Heck, I can even write a VLOOKUP now.

I can't sit still. If I can help someone accomplish their goals, I that is what really trips my trigger. That's why I'm here.
